Send to TV

The photos, videos, files, links and notes you send pass through our relay so they reach your TV. Without an account they are kept only while your TV's code is active (a few hours) and then deleted automatically. With an account, what you send while signed in is kept for 7 days so you can show it again, then deleted. We do not look at, analyse or share what you send.

TVDrop accounts

An account holds your e-mail address, an optional name, your password (stored only as a one-way hash) and the list of TVs signed in to it with when they were last used. We use your e-mail address only to confirm it, to reset your password and for important messages about your account — never for advertising.

Subscriber sign-in

If you sign in on the TV with an account from a subscription service, your e-mail address and password are sent over an encrypted connection to that service, which checks them. The TV keeps a sign-in token so you stay signed in; Sign out removes it.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie to keep you signed in, and one to protect its forms. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Crash reports

If the TV app crashes, a technical report (device model, app version, the error) may be sent so we can fix it. It never contains your password or what you sent.

What we do not do

Children

TVDrop is not directed at children under 13.
